CONTAINMENT AND MAINTENANCE NOTICE: As for the readers of this file. The O5 Command, the RAISA or the Ethics Committee must not have any knowledge of the existence nor the purpose of SCP-L217, its descriptions, origins or the nature of its containment procedures. As to that matter, the maintenace of L217-BRAIN will be realized by a team of three junior researchers, as the ones reading right now, that will be instructed through an automatized memmo. The chamber where this file is being displayed contains a maintenance bay with all the needed tools and equipments for maintenance, and reparation if pertinent, of L217-BRAIN; the exact list of indications and specialized instructions for each procedure are stored in the local terminal of the bay, the following procedures are preliminar and general, must be readed carefully.

It is needed for the researchers in charge to understand that SCP-L217 is a highly infohazardous item that will pose a danger to people, SCiPnet and itself in proportion to how much knowledge is disclosed about its nature. By so, the researcher in charge its compromised to follow these procedures rigorously.

SCP-L217 is cointained in a large-size chamber which inner walls are reinforced with SCP-148, the room is occupied with various medical equipments necessary for care of comatose people and proper ventilation system. The chamber has an airlock entrance. SCP-L217 is surrounded by L217-BRAIN.

The L217-BRAIN system is a group of 64 comatose people, meticulously selected from among outstanding STEM professionals, under the influence of prolongued exposure to SCP-L217, and displaced in hospital beds along the containment chambers. These hospital beds count with the needed clinical measurment, hydratation and enteral nutrition equipments.

Foundation-made electroencephalograph-like equipments for reading and manipulation of information within the L217-BRAIN minds is installed to every single one of the 64 mentioned people. The systems converges in a complex of 16 third generation computers, also Foundation-made. The neurological equipments interpret and introduces information following an arrangement of boolean logic, which is traspased to the mechanical core in electricity waves that are then conducted to the communications center of Site-163.

It is needed for the researchers in charge to understand that every equipment, it was and still is the principal computing center used for the creation and SCiPnet, as well as being its current primary processing unit. All equipments of L217-BRAIN have the same anomalous properties as SCP-L217.

SCP-L217 is an essential part of the SCiPnet and its damage or disconexion will suppose the fall of Foundation network system; and it is required that the existence of SCP-L217 and L217-BRAIN remains undisclosed for the SCiPnet to function properly.

If any or various of the 64 people part of L217-BRAIN deceases, the researchers in charge will be dued the responsability of finding, selecting and abducting replaces for the deceased ones. Any means necesary are valid, as long as the rest of the SCP Foundation personnel does not acquire any knowledge about SCP-L217.
